Managing eNotary Journal Outside a Live Session

Keeping a detailed and up-to-date eNotary journal is a critical part of a notary’s duties. You can manage your eNotary journal outside of a live notarization session by following these steps. <iframe src="https://www.loom.com/embed/c02d6fba3e63458a920005cb9019ba4e" width="100%" height="405" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen title="Managing eNotary Journal Outside a Live Session"></iframe> ## Steps to manage your eNotary journal 1. **Access the e-Signature platform** - Click on the main **'e-Signature'** tab within your notarization platform. 2. **Select your RON session** - On the left sidebar, click **‘eNotary RON’**. - Choose the notarization package you want to manage. 3. **Enter the detail view** - Click the package to open its detailed view. 4. **Open the Journal tab** - In the left sidebar within the detailed view, find the **‘Journal’** tab. - Click it to access the journal entries. 5. **Edit and enter information** - **Notarization Location**: Click the pen icon to add or edit the location, then save your changes. - **Documents Section**: Enter or confirm details such as the notarization type and fee. All documents related to the session are listed here. - **Signer Information**: Record each signer’s full name, address, and ID verification method, such as passport or driver's ID. This information may auto-fill from the session data, but you can also enter or correct it manually. 6. **Add auxiliary information** - Click the **‘Entries’** tab near the top to add additional notes. - Use the label and value fields to enter extra information, such as witness details or reasons for KBA exceptions. 7. **Add the journal entry** - After entering the relevant details, click **‘Add Journal Entry’** to save the new information to the journal. 8. **Download the journal** - If you need a physical copy of the journal, click **‘Download eNotary Journal’** to save a copy. ## Important considerations - **Accuracy is Key**: Ensure all details are accurate for legal compliance. - **Confidentiality**: Handle all information with the confidentiality required for notarization. - **Regulatory Compliance**: Stay in line with state-specific requirements for notary journals.
