Understanding Joint Signers group
In traditional eSignature processes, each signer receives a unique link or access point to sign the document. If two parties are together, they would still need to access the document separately on their individual devices, which can create inefficiencies and unnecessary waiting.
The **"Joint Signers"** feature is designed to simplify this situation by creating a combined signing session for multiple signers.
## Problem it solves
If multiple parties need to sign a single document while they are physically present together, separate signing sessions can be inconvenient. "Joint Signers" helps streamline that process so the signers can move through the document more efficiently.
## How Joint Signers work
1. **Creation**: When preparing an eSignature package, you can designate two or more parties as a **"Joint Signers"** group.
2. **Access**: Once the group is set up, the parties can join from either of the links sent to each individually.
3. **Convenience**: If the signers are together—such as at home or in a business meeting—they can use the same device to access and sign the document. One signer can sign and then immediately pass the device to the next signer without waiting for a new session or link.
4. **Flexibility**: Even though the signing session is unified, the signing fields remain separate for each signer.
