Enforcing unique document names during documents upload
Ensuring each document within your Snapdocs RON (formerly Pactima) package has a unique name helps keep your document list organized and reduces confusion, handling errors, and auditing issues when you work with many files.

To enforce unique document names during upload:
1. **Navigate to Document Preparation**
Log in to your Snapdocs RON (formerly Pactima) account and proceed to the document preparation phase.
2. **Access the Documents Step**
In the document preparation workflow, select the **Documents** step.
3. **Locate the '?' Icon**
On the **Documents** step page, look for the **'?'** icon or another indicator for additional options, typically on the right side of the interface.
4. **Toggle Unique Document Names**
Click the **'?'** icon and find the option labeled **Unique Documents Upload**. Turn this toggle on to enforce unique document names during upload.
5. **Understand How It Works**
After the setting is enabled, Snapdocs RON (formerly Pactima) scans the names of the documents you upload. If it finds duplicates—files with names that already exist within your document package—it will not upload the duplicate file. The system may alert you or simply disregard the duplicate, depending on the user interface behavior.
6. **Upload Your Documents**
Upload your documents as usual. Snapdocs RON (formerly Pactima) will now filter out and prevent the upload of documents whose names duplicate files that are already in the package.
7. **Review Your Document List**
After uploading, review the list of uploaded documents to confirm that all files are correctly named and that no duplicates exist.
Using this feature helps maintain stricter organization standards and streamlines document uploads by ensuring every document in your package has a unique name.
